Insider's Guide to Target Shopping

As an avid shopper at Target and reader of blogs, I see a common trend...many of us seem to love the feeling of $50+ dollars being sucked from our pockets every time we step foot into this store!  I don't know about you, but I seriously can NOT step foot into that store for a roll of toilet paper, a simple gift bag or one tube of toothpaste without rolling out of there with a basket full half-full of at LEAST $50 worth of stuff I never knew I couldn't live without!

Here are a few tips I've come across in my blog reading to make it either less painful or to make that $50 minimum stretch a little bit further.

First, we all know that the end caps house all the clearance and reduced priced items.  Some of the end caps are in the center aisle and the others are back along the outside wall.  What I did NOT know is that Target has a clearance schedule!  (If you don't have Blissfully Domestic in your blogroll or your reader, it is a MUST, these people have the shitizzle on all things hip, hot and hoppin'.)  (I just copy them)

Target also takes all sorts of coupons as well as various printables from their own website.  I had not idea about this, but why would I?  I'm a total goober where coupons are concerned, but this Target printable coupon idea made me salivate a little which is my body's way of telling me to pay attention.

My word of mouth Monday two weeks ago featured a little gem found at Target, check it out!  What can't YOUR family live without at Target??

  1. This week, it's everything. I'm about at a 'must-go.' Shampoo, toothpaste, everything. Good news is that I'll have to take a list so I'll stick to it and not wander to the sections that suck my money. I am going to check out the coupons, though.

  3. Just $50 - oh honey, you're doing VERY well. It seems like I have a $75 min. these days.

I totally live for Target clearance! I imagine the Halloween stuff should be 30% off by next week to make room for the rest of the Christmas stuff - yeah!!

  4. Target like Wal-Mart only it doesn't suck.

Thanks for the info. I've heard of this before and yet I've never stopped to bm it before. So now it's saved. :) I'll be looking into it for sure.

We went tonight. $65.00 and the hardest part - it was only one bag (and a thing of cat food and toilet paper but otherwise one bag). Ow.

  5. Hi Kelly,

I found your blog via a Google search. I want to invite you to join me and the rest of the Targeteers on my blog: attentiontargetshoppers.com

I do the best I can to alert anyone dropping by or signing up via my Feedburner or RSS feed to all the best deals, clearance and the ever popular weekly coupon match-up. (This week may be a little late. I am traveling and not positive when I'll get home on Saturday night.

At any rate, most weeks the match-up is posted before early afternoon and sometimes it posts at midnight. Just depends if I can find a source to get the ad early or not.

AND, I have a giveaway going. Just hop over to ATS, scroll down and you'll see the post about "The Couponizer". It is a nifty coupon organizer. Folks are clammoring for it!

The Targeteers and I would love to have our little army of Target shoppers grow. Come join us! You have gotta see it to beleive it....

May you always get the best deals!
