How good do you have to be?

I came across this and thought it brings up a good point. It is sure to punch a few buttons, but it's thought provoking for sure.

Lots of people will come back with, oh great, you can be a murderer and a rapist and still get into heaven or what about all the "good" people? I say, what about knowing Jesus, being a child of God and allowing him to know you?

  5. Well, point of view is an interesting thing. The author created it from the POV that you need to have Christ on your side to get into heaven. It could easily be seen as a farce on how ridiculous that notion is, as well.

Personally, I used to subscribe to the notion our newly-elected president talked about in an interview from 2004:

    OBAMA:
I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell.

I can't imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.

My views have changed since then, however.
